Don't get me wrong I love the video, and I still love riding the line today, but I will NEVER forget my first ride on a train of Bullets with a man in civilian clothes running the train behind a closed coach door and a guy in uniform collecting tickets and putting the ticket in a clip on each window post. THOSE WERE THE DAYS. BTW: The P&W Bullets were the first RAILROAD equipment ever tested ina wind tunnel, making them the world's very first "Supertrains" and a direct ancestor to the TGV, etc.
Anybody remember when this was the Philadelphia & Western RAILROAD?? Anyone remember when all TRAINS were staffed by an ENGINEER and a CONDUCTOR, who were paid RAILROADERS' salaries and followed RAILROAD rules? Anyone remember when the equipment were actually referred to as TRAINS and not trolleys? Anyone remember that this line, now called the SEPTA Rt. 100 High-speed Trolley, used to haul FREIGHT? Not long freight trains, but a few semi-weekly interchange cars to various sidings.
