17 nonprofits and Lucky Palace, LLC, filed a lawsuit against VictoryLand Greyhound Park Dog Track alleging Racketeering and other violation, which allegedly created a monopoly in bingo gaming in Macon County, Alabama. The Plaintiffs blames Macon County Sheriff David Warren, owner Milton McGregor and VictoryLand for denying bingo permits to all other applicants. Local Attorney Fred Gray, Jr., is also accused of assisting Sheriff Warren in developing rules and regulations to govern bingo in Macon County, at the same time that his father, Fred Gray, Sr. is an investor in VictoryLand. The Gray's are also law partners. Gray, Jr. was not named in the lawsuit as a defendent.
