Thermite is granular aluminum metal and powdered iron oxide it is pitted against a coconut so it basicly nature agaist nature. Who wins?.......nature... yyaaaaeeeee.

Wow. I'm surprised the coconut shell held together!
I've got about enough Al to make that much thermite. (filings from an aluminium boomerang) I just need to find a good source of Fe²O³.

wasnt enhanced thermite used to destroy and cause the twin towers to free fall down to the ground. i dont know. just some conspiracy theory. look it up before you talk smack

That's awesome! Do you think the lack of damage to the coconut shell has to do with the shape of it possibly?

@Tigerpawzs -there's no doubt that the molten iron runs out quickly, probably due to its funnel shape. I also noticed previously that coconut shells hold together quite well even after they are burnt, which is why I thought I would try one with some thermite.
