At the close of Abraham Lincoln's bicentennial year, BILL MOYERS JOURNAL takes a unique look at our nation's 16th President - through the eyes of critically acclaimed, veteran dance artist Bill T. Jones. In a groundbreaking work of choreography called FONDLY DO WE HOPE...FERVENTLY DO WE PRAY, Jones reimagines a young Lincoln in his formative years through dance. Bill Moyers speaks with Jones about his creative process,
his insights into Lincoln, and how dance can give us fresh perspective on America's most-studied president. "This piece, ultimately, is not a biopic... It is supposed to be, 'How can we use Lincoln and his time as a mirror through which we look darkly at ourselves?'" says Jones.

Okay, you do music.
I'm thinking - - - everything in white; hundreds of storm troopers dancing in precision and reflected to the audience, Ziegfeld style, with huge mirrors. In the middle, Jabba the Hut making sweet, sweet love to Carrie Fisher. (Not Princess Lea. I think we can get Carrie Fisher.)
Most importantly, and I cant emphasize this enough, I have dibs on all merchandising.

The sad part is....I know it will sell out!
(Ride of the Valkyries)
LUKE...I am your Father...I am your Father
I am your Father......Join the Dark Side with Meeeeeeee!
(Bohemian Rhapsody)
I'm just a poor boy, from a poor family...spare me my life from this hot, desert scene.
But... what the heck....I mean after all... the Star Wars Symphony is having success with their national tour.

Really? Is this a joke? Please someone give me a million dollars so I can flail around the Kennedy Center while the Washington elite gawk in awe of my ability to re-interpret the life of Darth Vader.
