De León Advocates for Gun Violence Prevention Bills

(Sacramento) - Assemblymember Kevin De León (D-Los Angeles), Chair of the Assembly Appropriations Committee, along with other legislative leaders and advocates hosted a press conference on the10th Anniversary of the Columbine massacre to discuss bills that seek to curtail gun violence in California. De León presented Assembly Bill 962 which prohibits the sale or furnishing of ammunition to criminals and gang members. It also directs handgun ammunition vendors to keep records of ammunition sales and make them available to law enforcement, as well as, conduct only face-to-face transactions on all ammunition purchases/transfers.
