I'm not going to pretend I understand everything about Somalia but 2 mistakes made by Al-shabab stand out. Loudly proclaiming they are connected to Al-Qaeda is a surefire way to cause the US to come after them. Kidnapping tourists in Kenya is another stupid mistake. I swear these guys are running aroud with a "kick me" sign of their backs and they're the one's who put it there.
