L-39 Albatross Flight
2008 NAS Oceana Airshow
NAS Oceana, Virginia
Saturday September 20, 2008
IN THIS VIDEO, watch as these two L-30 Albatrosses take to the skies over NAS Oceana for a makeshift performance. Flying the Black Bunny is a guy named Scott "Jethro" Kelly, who is a former Tomcat pilot, and the second L-39 is flown by former Viper East Demo Pilot Geoff "Hak" Hickman, who is also one of the pilots (albeit a backup pilot) for the Starfighters Demo Team. I apologize for the poor video quality, as I was trying my best to get the best video under VERY WINDY conditions, which persisted through Saturday night.
Like what you've seen? Well, if you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .
There are a few L-39 albatros in USA they used an L-39 to do the movie Jackass 3D
