D1501 was started up at Castlecroft shed - ELR on 6th December 2009 & then moved to C&W a week later for bogie painting before its completion in to 1962 Original Two tone green livery
this is the footage of this historical event.
In July 2009, 47402 was in BR Blue.
5 months later D1501 is out shopped after a complete body overhaul in its new Livery.

This is how a class 47 should look. Do not ruin the front ends with that awfull high intenstety headlight they did not have them in 1962 when this masterpiece was built I have 5 class 47`s in my trainset I also have D1500 and recently d1572.
