  • Do you have any idea where I can purchase a 7500 lb capacity single screw scissor jack?

  • @FLVulcan1700 Sorry, I don't. They sell the screew rod at hardware stores, you could make one.

  • @jgiralde I'm assuming you mean removing the double thread screw from an existing 7500# scissor jack and replacing it with a single thread. I've looked at your Utube vdeos and you explained the difference and I've spent hours on the web looking for single thread jacks to purchase. They don't seem to exist. You had ones you replaced your double threads jacks with so I thought I would ask the source. Thanks for the idea.

  • @mhlovl Camping World did have both on their shelfs when they were here in Fresno, but you can also buy the single from Harbor Freight.

  • Camping World does stock both of these jacks. When I ask the sales people at the Fresno store about them they could not tell me the difference. Please ask your RV store to stock it. Thank you

i use air ratchet tool on the scissor jack,,,

    much faster

  • @mhlovl Can't seem to reach you concerning the single screw approach to scissor jacks. My son(FLVucan) could. The double thread screw on the usual jack would seem to have to be retapped to accept the single thread? Making a whole new jack with arms seems out of the question.

  • @jgiralde I'm assuming you mean removing the double thread screw from an existing 7500# scissor and replacing it with a single screw. This would seem to require retapping the worm drive on the jack frame itself? I've looked the web over and I can't find single thread jacks anywhere. You mentioned you replaced the double threads with single threads on your camper. I thought I would ask the scource
