You had me at "can you believe that shit!"

@swandike Communities are not the product of religion, but rather the product of culture. There are violent communities that are christian just as there are violent communities that are not. If you grow up somewhere that violence is ok or even necessary then you yourself are more likely to be violent regardless of what religion you so happen to believe in. Maybe if our politicians would start focusing more on education than religion...

@swandike hmm like jews in medeival european communities? or like African animists or Aztecs or native americans or any other natives colonized by Christians, or how about atheist persecuted in salt lake city, or atheists in dozens of other communities being run out of town. or i suppose you dont define these as christians, those wh do these things? oops, forgot the crusades! u can define xtian how you like...but"by their deeds shall you know them"

@Excelion333 that person might not be a good theist to want to exterminate all. atheist. just because people believe in God does not mean they are devout Christians. they don't represent anyone just themselves and their own thoughts.
Bible says love even your enemies. only Book that says that. Dave Cameron said it will be easier for other faiths and non -faith to live in Christian communities. and he is right.

I'll say what I want, that is my right. They can say what they want, that is their right. It's when they expect that I should change my behavior because they're offended, that I lose it. No, you can't make that jump, and I will not stand for it. Yes, you should be ashamed for asking. No, I don't care that you're offended. If you want to discuss it, and can hold a debate, good for you, that I can do... But you won't like how it turns out. Theists never do...

I actually had the opportunity to talk to a theist who told me he wished he could build a bomb that would wipe out all atheist and "lesser" religious people, and they wonder why we atheist don't like religion, fucking nutters all.

It's bad enough that some adults can be "offended" by certain words, but for one adult to presume to tell another adult how to talk is absolutely stunning to me. You have the privilege to be offended by whatever you want-- And the rest of the world has the privilege to BE offensive.
