This is a 1985 Concert by the Indian Mandolin Prodigy U. Srinivas, performed in "Parvathi", Mysore. He was barely 16 years old, then.

He is seen here with his father and mentor Mr. U. Satyanarayana (keeping the beat), Mysore Nagaraj (Violin), Vellore Ramabhadran (Mridangam) and Bangalore Venkataram (Ghatam)

To hear six decades and more of Concerts in Carnatic Music performed by the great artists in a unique and heritage house "Parvathi", in Mysore, please visit

  • Breathtaking....

  • what a control, imagination, divine gift surely...and needs courage to sit with well known accompanyists...

  • excellent

  • Truly amazing. Notice at the end the Ghatam artist throws his instrument into the air THREE times! :) The audience is visibly smitten.
