About a year ago, I took the opportunity to ask an 80+ year old climatologist about this. What is your take on this global warming hysteria? He said "The Earth MAY be getting warmer, but the data available to us certainly does not support this hypothesis. The hype is political, not scientific."

This is coming from a guy who does not receive gov't research grants.

It's 2011! Global warming is now a busted myth! Game over! Over 11,000 sources show an accurate reading of the past climate changes! They show the world is not warming up in one direction! Only 25 sources ever showed it was going up. - Source even came from liberal media which is a shock, they actually admitted it now.

NASA admits all previous warming trends caused by sun; Not only that, but CO2 increases follows a rise in global temperature caused by the solar cycle up to 100 years after the warming event, and this is fact not fiction. This destroys all these carbon credits and C02 preceding a rise in global temperature. A rise in CO2 is a by-product of a rise in global temperature caused by solar cycles, not a catalyst that causes the rise in global temperature itself.

@TTFMjock Actually, my position is that we can't stop it, but we can prepare for it. You say one side is a total fraud, but I'm guessing you take anyone who speaks against global warming at their word, right? That would make you no better than your so called 'alarmists'. I think it's rather selfish that you don't think clean energy, better agriculture or less pollution and waste are goals worthy to reach for, global warming or not. This isn't a crisis for the Earth, it's a crisis for US.

@TTFMjock We know the Earth has had wild variations in climate before. What we consider 'normal' has been a rare mild streak that can only end in disaster if we continue our current course of plugging our ears and closing our eyes. The Earth will continue doing what it's doing whether we like it or not. The question is, is it *really* worth the risk to not do something now while we have a chance? This isn't going to go away just because you don't believe in it.

@Psionic7Rat The problem here is that the case becomes unfalsifiable. If it snows, then it's global warming. If it fails to snow enough, it's global warming. The only thing the climate alarmists will currently accept as non-warming is climate stability, but that's only because climate is not particularly stable. If climate were ever to become conspicuously stable, Mann and his crowd would say it was also global warming!

Didn't that guy who was a total skeptic bout Global Warming recently investigate the 'hocky stick chart' and end up changing his mind and agree that the global temperature is on the rise? Snow in odd places is part of Global Warming, when the global temperature rises, the weather system goes nuts doing things it wouldn't normally do. High Greenhouse gas numbers found in ice cores proceeded the last Ice age.
