Clarkson's hilarious. I'm fully aware of his lack of sympathy and often times common sense. (Any one who's watched Top Gear would know) And that's just him, like Ana put it;"He's a douchebag".  I wouldn't love Top Gear nearly as much as I do, if Jeremy was any other way.

This has been taken completely out of context, Im fan of TYT, but im afraid you have got this one wrong. If you watch the whole clip, he firstly said the strikes had been "fantastic" etc... However, in Britain, the BBC has to be impartial (unlike america), and so he said that he had to be impartial and then said in the same satirical way about shooting the. The joke was this is the bbc, so in balance.. then he made that 'outrageous' comment to make the balance joke. THIS IS TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT!!!!!!!!! At first, Clarkson said, "I love the strikes. There is no traffic and I could easily go to a restaurant with my wife. But no. This is the BBC. We have to keep it impartial - I think they should be shit..." e.t.c. It wasn;t his opinion on the strikes; he was mocking the BBC's policy on impartiality.

And there were people who complained to the BBC 2 WEEKS after the broadcast.

I like how you've deliberately left out his comments which lead to the shooting comment. His full comment was "I actually agree with this. We have to balance it, though, because this is the BCC. Frankly, I'd have them all shot".

For those who do not know, the BBC has a policy in place which prevents any broadcasts or publications displaying political bias.
