Chris Paine wrote and directed "Who Killed the Electric Car?" the eye opening documentary that explores the creation, limited commercialization, and subsequent destruction of the battery electric vehicle in the United States

Finally, Chris interviewed a lot of speakers at Driving Sustainability ´08, traveled around Iceland filming clean energy infrastructure and interviewed the President of Iceland. He tells us that Iceland will play a big partin his upcoming film - The Revenge of the Electric Car - http://revengeoftheelectriccar.com/

Here he talks about the movie and his viewpoints on Hydrogen.

  • What a sweet and intelligent guy . My car is 1/2 electric I need a full electric soon

  • Interesting interview, Chris... A couple of things, in the US, new cars haven't utilized carburetors since the early 1980's. Also, the average commuter's drive is well beyond 40 Km and, as urban costs of living continues to rise, people are commuting farther. This being the case, I wouldn't dis the hydrogen option just yet... You could have the best of both worlds in a hybrid Hydrogen/Battery car... Using hydrogen to essentially replenish what the electric motor uses of the batteries' charge.
