They took everything including the language from the Irish. Just like the American Proto stripped the Italian of there native language when arriving in America "Do not speak the language of the enemy" combined with arresting those who taught there children and others in there own community there own native language! Burn em down!

Irish is are official language you dick head, but as Gurumze says when they took every thing of us they forced the english language in to the island, but if you go to little towns or even cities people talk it, im 15 and i fucking speak it! Óglaigh na hÉireann

@mjsalinas17 its an old tradtional song but some claim it was rewritten during the american civil war when the irish came over as soon as they got off the boat the union made them citizens and then made them soldiers. it was heartbreaking for many because they where fleeing war, also they felt that they where on the wrong side, becuase all their life the irish fought as rebels against the english, then got here and where uned by union imperials to put down a rebellion
