On March 23rd Sony launched the PS3 to the UK market. Sky News interviewed Blitz Games Director Philip Oliver. With a fairly harsh attack on the price and backward compatability at launch.

ive been buying blu-ray films for a few months now i have around 30 blu-ray films,just building my dvd libary waiting for the right moment to take the plunge and buy a ps3 i wont pay £425 though £350 max.. its the principle. us brits always pay the odds..

i agree with you marcus, i feel that £300 is a great price, sony would gain a lot more respect & fans if they were to lower there prices, i heard that the hdmi cable isnt even included i mean we pay £425 we can at least expect that... like you said lets hpe sony can hear us games fans frustrations & put us first...

I worked in a game shop and did the launch today... They didn't fly off no shelves, we still have about 20- 25 consoles left TO BUY ON GENERAL SALE, i'm sure you will be able to get one next week. And some guy asked if Gears of War will be on PS3... hmmmmmm
