ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ : Nam keertan practice with Guru Ramdas ji on Rabab Piano

ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ :
Ḏukẖ bẖanjan ṯerā nām jī ḏukẖ bẖanjan ṯerā nām.

The Destroyer of sorrow is Thy Nam, O
Lord Wahehuru ji, the Destroyer of sorrow is Thy Nam.

ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਆਰਾਧੀਐ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ::
Āṯẖ pahar ārāḏẖī▫ai pūran saṯgur gi▫ān.

Throughout the day and night,contemplate upon the Divine knowledge imparted by the Perfect True Guru.

ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਅਠੇ ਪਹਿਰ ਹੀ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਿਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮ ਗਿਆਤ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਾਰ।

ਜਿਤੁ ਘਟਿ ਵਸੈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਸੋਈ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਥਾਉ ::
Jiṯ gẖat vasai pārbarahm so▫ī suhāvā thā▫o.

The heart wherein the Supreme Waheguru ji abides, that is the beautiful place.

ਦਿਲ, ਜਿਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਰਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਜਮ ਕੰਕਰੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਰਸਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ::
Jam kankar neṛ na āvī rasnā har guṇ gā▫o.

Death's courier draws not near him, who with his tongue sings Lord Waheguru ji's glories.
ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਾਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਦਾ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਭਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਆਲਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਸੇਵਾ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਨ ਜਾਣੀਆ ਨਾ ਜਾਪੈ ਆਰਾਧਿ ::
Sevā suraṯ na jāṇī▫ā nā jāpai ārāḏẖ.

I understand not the worth of remaining awake in Lord's service nor have I felt the sublimity of Him meditation.

ਮੈਂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਕਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਉਚੱਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

ਓਟ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਗਜੀਵਨਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ::
Ot ṯerī jagjīvanā mere ṯẖākur agam agāḏẖ.

O my inaccessible and Incomprehensible Lord Waheguru ji the Life of the world, Thou art my main-stay.

ਹੈ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦ-ਜਾਨ! ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਚ-ਸਮਝ ਤੋਂ ਉਚੇਰੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈਂ।

ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਗੁਸਾਈਆ ਨਠੇ ਸੋਗ ਸੰਤਾਪ
Bẖa▫e kirpāl gusā▫ī▫ā naṯẖe sog sanṯāp::
When the Lord of world becomes merciful, sorrow and affliction hasten away.
ਜਦ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਫਸੋਸ ਤੇ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਦੌੜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਤਤੀ ਵਾਉ ਨ ਲਗਈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਰਖੇ ਆਪਿ ::
Ŧaṯī vā▫o na lag▫ī saṯgur rakẖe āp.

Even the hot wind does not touch the man, when the True Guru himself shields him.
ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਖੁਦ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਗਰਮ ਹਵਾ ਤਕ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੂੰਹਦੀ।

ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੁ ਦਯੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਚਾ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰੁ
Gur nārā▫iṇ ḏa▫yu gur gur sacẖā sirjaṇhār.

The Guru is the Waheguru ji's own presence, the Guru the Merciful Master and Guru the True Creator's own presence.
ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਨ, ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਹੀ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਮਾਲਕ, ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਹੀ ਸੱਚੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ।




ਗੁਰਿ ਤੁਠੈ ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ
Gur ṯuṯẖai sabẖ kicẖẖ pā▫i▫ā jan Nānak saḏ balihār.
On Guru being mightily pleased I have attained everything. Servant Nanak is ever a sacrifice unto the Guru Waheguru.
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮ-ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਣ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਨੋਕਰ ਨਾਨਕ, ਗੁਰਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
