A casting attempt I did two years ago. I used the green sand casting method. I prepared green sand by sifting normal construction sand through a fine screen, later mixing it with powdered pottery clay and water. Didn't mix by ratio, only by consistency.
For melting copper I used a gas pipe, made of steel. Problems occured with that as I managed to melt it twice because of the high temperatures in my charcoal foundry. Later I learned how to control it.
