Christianity: Good News For All People

Pastor Mark Driscoll examines Luke 2, where an angel announces the birth of Jesus, Christ the Lord, to shepherds in a field. The angel reveals how we are to see Jesus. We are not to insert him into a false ideology (e.g., atheism, deism, pantheism/panentheism, or theism) that offers no hope, no good news, no savior. Rather, we are to praise Jesus like the angels, Mary, and the shepherds did.

You shouldn't turn to Chritianity in your search for meaning in life - I'm sorry but it just doesn't stack up. Christians believe in an omnipotent, all seeing, all loving god, yes? If he (I refuse to write He) was this, then there is no way he would stand by and let catastrophes such as the rape of southern Sudan, the recent earthquake in Japan or the attack on the World Trade Center take place. If there is a powerful being who created the world, it cannot be your god.
