WOW!!! just got mine in sunburst and love'm put evan G2's on the toms...love the sound of your set great playing. Are you using anything to muffle the bass drum?

I am using only a strip of felt about 3" wide across the bottom of the reso head. Felt beater. Love the kick alot.

i will be putting clear Emporers on the toms soon. Stock clear ambassador-ish heads not cutting it.

I love the sunburst finish too. Nice choice.

hell yea man im getting the same kit in piano black, they got it for $650 on ebay. i just wish they had a 22 10 12 13 14 config :\ sick chops and thats a beautiful kit

That is the exact deal I scored as well. I got mine in exactly 7 days from PA to CA. So you should have them by now, I hope.

You well feel lucky as all get out once you hear these things in person.  The kick is so nice. Sounds good at high and low volume. My last kit was black, so I didn't go that way, but what a classy look! Nice choice.

Awesome! I just got mine yesterday, its BEAUTIFUL & it only took 2 days to get here. I decided to go with the red maple instead of the piano black, and im glad i did! You're right dude, the 17.5 kick is perfect, I definitely favor its feel and sound over my pearl 18". This kit sounds so amazing, i've never played on a maple set before, but now i see why everyones so obsessed. Ill try to post a vid soon so you can see, the red maple is sort of similar to the red sparkle, just a little darker.
