I'll always remember picking up a hitchhiker in 1978 in Olympia, WA., and we did the "where you heading?" exchange. He said "San Antonio", & was blown away when I played this song from 'Doug Sahm & Friends'. Gave him a ride to Williams, CA

Late 60's...Pussycat Club, San Antonio...LORD AUGUST and the VISIONS OF LIGHT as they were called, aka Augie Meyers and band...strobe lights, psychedelic murals...Augie playing his organ and singing Gimme Some Lovin' as good as Spencer Davis...damn, those were some fun times! Thanks Augie. Good to see you still going strong.
