MANU CHAO JAMMING LIVE @ THE BAR "MARIACHI" IN BARCELONA

I was crashing at the home of two good friends of mine in Barcelona back in 2005. They were living in a narrow street in the old part of Barca and their flat was face to face with this tiny and old bar. This was a fucked up place. They sell beer out of cans. But it has its own charm.

One night I heard music coming out of this bar and my friends told me.."oh this is Manu Chao jamming again in the Bar with his friends". So there he was. Doing what every good musician should be doing. Don´t matter how many millions of records he sold. He was just sitting there jamming with his friends. Maybe 20 people attended that night. I call myself lucky that I was one of them. It was a remarkable night, because it was so authentic. Me and my friends we loved it. I was stupid not to film a bit more of it. Just very short videos. But after all those years I feel that I can share them with the world.

Go and buy Manu Chao´s stuff. He is a great musician and he´s "for real".

The bar is near Rambla, I am from Greece I can't really remember the street but it's in a narrow street in parallel with Rambla

Once you're in Barcelona, you have to go to the center of the city down south, near the beach. You have to go to the Rambla de Santa Monica, the one that goes straight down to the monument to Colon. One of those streets within the Barri Gòtic is called Carrer dels Escudellers, you take that one towards the center of the Barri (that would be Northeast) until you hit the street named Carrer dels Còdols...you turn right there and follow the alley until you hit the number 14...and voilà...
