ODD FELLOW LODGE part7: "REEL"
IOOF 1st Virginia Lodge

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) started a lodge in Hapers Ferry when we were still part of Virginia. The original lodges were located further down-town. This lodge, on Camp Hill, shows up in Civil War photographs. Recently, it has been renovated during and after this video was originally filmed in early 1990s. Documentation & stair addition drawings were measured and drafted by Stowell Architects. These videos & a small garden was created & kept by Walton Stowell Jr. in honor of the Odd Fellows. It is our hope that these traditions are maintained in various forms for the legacy of future generations.
