Jerusalem with music composed by Sir Hubert Parry in 1916 to the words written by William Blake as the preface for his epic poem - Milton - that was published 1808.
I was motivated to record this famous hymn since it was also the inspriration behind the well-known film "Chariots of Fire" - "Bring me my chariot of fire!" The hymn was also a personal favourite of mine from my early teens onwards when we regularly sung this during our morning school assembly. I play the arrangement by Harry Rabinowitz that was used by Vangelis for the Original Soundtrack of Chariots of Fire where it is sung by a church congregation during the closing sequences of the film....
...I first play the hymn in a combined Church & Cathedral Organ Mode, followed by a repeat of the complete hymn in full synthesizer mode! I hope that you enjoy my performance as much as I enjoyed recording this most awesome and powerful hymn.
My dream is to sometime sing this hymn during the closing sequences of the Last Night of the Proms(Promenade Concerts) at the Albert Hall in London!
The photo in the opening titles and closing credits is of the famous Wailing Wall (The Western Wall) in the Old City of Jerusalem, and was shot by Miss Denise Erica Hewitt during her visit to this most beautiful and fascinating city during the mid-1990s.

Words & Lyrics - William Blake (from Milton - 1808)
And did those feet in ancient time Walk upon England's mountains green? And was the holy Lamb of God On England's pleasant pastures seen? And did the Countenance Divine Shine forth upon our clouded hills? And was Jerusalem builded here Among those dark Satanic mills? Bring me my bow of burning gold: Bring me my arrows of desire: Bring me my spear: O clouds, unfold! Bring me my chariot of fire! I will not cease from mental fight, Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand Till we have built Jerusalem In England's green and pleasant land.

I don't suppose you would consider doing the Anderson/Vangelis piece "So Long Ago So Clear"?
