Tax on Workers Health Insurance Plans a Bad Idea

Hosting a press conference with labor leaders and organized workers, Sen. Bernie Sanders called for the elimination of a provision in the Senate health reform proposal which would tax some health insurance plans. Imposing an excise tax on health insurance plans would be a disaster for millions of middle class Americans, Sanders said. Sanders introduced an amendment to strike the provision from the Senate-introduced Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The so-called Cadillac health insurance plans in fact can have premiums around $8,500 for an individual plan and $23,000 for a family plan.

Tax the wealthy at 100% and you still couldn't pay for your Socialistic Monstrosities. Fact of the matter is, you can keep putting burdens on the wealthy, but you're going to hurt the Middle Class and Poor as well, b/c misery will trickle down, it doesn't just concentrate in 1 area.

If the wealthy don't spend their money and buy things like Yahts, Planes, and Homes, wouldn't that take away jobs from the Middle Class Workers who build them?
