how did you get this to happen ? were you just leaving them out to dry for a few days? I know other mushrooms can make a spore print that way, but wasnt sure about morels. very cool video !

These Morels were harvested a couple of hours before I took this video.
I laid them out to take a picture of my find. I walked into the room a little while later, and the sun was shining on them through the window, and they were "smoking".
I realized what was happening and made the video. You can also hold a morel next to a light bulb, and block the light from your eyes and see the spores being released.
