I play for a 16-17 year old team and we run a double wing. We have the best offence in the 20 team league with around 300 rushing yards a game and average 46 points. Last game one of our wing backs got 286 yards on 9 carries. Wedge Trap, Power and rb wheel. I love it <3

Great examples coach. For you doubters the Double Wing may be the most dangerous offense out. For those of you who say put 8 in the box I say "Please Do"! The play action passing game will kill you as it killed my competition this year. Yes Tight is the base formation however I shift into 5 different formations (looks) and yes spread is one of them. However my blocking assignments vary little. You have to a student of the game to run this successfully. Execution is everything.

I coached a 6,7 yr old team with team league and we scored 320 pts on the season I had 9 players score tds so I'm a huge fan of the double wing !!!!!!!!!

the double wing sucks it so a 1960 offense the way to stop it is put 8 in the box and it done its not a start to finish offense its a offense to finish the game to kill clock and my highschool runs it and we havent won a game in 3 years becuase it sucks and last week we were losing agaisnt the worst team and we lost but we got 12 point when we went spread plain and simple double wing SUCKS

@festdir its in a tight formation with the wide reciever running a go or post. the wingback on the same side will run a wheel out of the backfield. usually theres a play fake to the other wing back by the qb before he lets it go to the rb. a linebacker has to cover the rb wheel and he usually gets sucked in by the play fake for a run leaving the rb wideeee open. the safety will have to pick up the wr coming up the middle. works great
