I agree with your sentiments towards organized religion (as an atheist myself). That said, Greek orthodox religion (in the modern era) has been a strong support of Hellenism whereas (some) elements of the Grek left have been proudly "anti-Hellenes" (most notably communists, Drasi, and even some socialists). I see those sorts as a "Greek" extremists as a far bigger threat to our country than the religious extremists. They'll say anything to show how we are all "comrades".

The poster of this video is full of baloney. In the 19th and early 20th century the majority of people that lived in FYROM used to freely self-identify as ethnic Bulgarians ("Macedonians" in a regional not ethnic sense). Yugoslav communists oppressed evidence of that Bulgarian heritage and renamed Vardar Yugoslavia "Macedonia" for the dual purpose of protecting Yugoslav territorial integrity and to expand communist interests into Macedonia Greece.
