Loan Modification and Short Sale Nightmares

In this video Charles "Chuck" Hendershot reveals a growing deception regarding lenders and the procedures surrounding modifications and short sales. Some mortgage companies are blatantly mishandling files, losing paperwork and not returning calls in an obvious attempt to stall the modification or short sale process in hopes that realtors, buyers and homeowners will submit and give up.




EXIT Realty Group has partnered with a company which performs forensic audits on mortgage companies in an effort to expedite loan modifications and short sales. In many cases, mortgage companies are dragging homeowners through 90-day trail payment plans while leading them to believe they are getting a more permanent solution if they make the three payments. Once the 90-day trial is complete, the lender continues to defer the process for up to 18 months and continue persuading the homeowner to pay the same monthly payment as the 90-day trial period. In the end, the homeowner is denied the modification and foreclosure is accelerated without time to get a short sale in place all the while the lender collected the payments not in good faith to help its client.

You are so right... I went thru the exact situation only to get denied after 1 year. The reasons was that I did not sent them the proper paper works and my paper works were not on time. How bogus is that? So I decided not to pay them anymore and just live in the house for free until they kick me out.....may be by that time I would have save enough money for a good rental place.....F*** chase.

This guy is telling it like it is. We went through the loan mod nightmare with Chase. They offered a 3 month trial mod payment plan. We were told to make all 3 payments ontime, and we would likely get a loan mod...yeah right! 12 months have passed and we still get denied. Our neighbors walked away after only 6 months of playing games with the banks. We toughed it out for one year, but enough is enough. F**K these banks!!
