Established in 1986 as a domestic and international disaster response resource, sponsored by the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department, Virginia Task Force 1 is comprised of approximately 200 specially trained career and volunteer fire and rescue personnel, with expertise in the rescue of victims from collapsed structures, following a natural or man-made catastrophic event.   • Thank you very much from Japan. Im a Japanese. We Japanese are very thankful to you for rescueing and helping us now after huge earthquake and tsunami. I think it requires very hard and dangerous works to rescue people. So I hope your safety. Please let each rescue members (who came to Japan and helped people) know our gratefulness.....!! Again, thank you very much from full of our heart!
