  • I fully support moral values, but you don't need fictional deities to give it to you. To assume that you need a supernatural being to tell you what is right and wrong is ignorant.

  • I get my morality from the Bible, and it has helped me enormously to straighten out my life and become more productive and much less self-destructive. Hard partying and loose sexual morals, though perhaps fun in the short-term, they both lead to self-destruction in the long-term.

    Shermer confuses morality with punishment. We don't stone people to death, today, and I don't have a problem with the lack of stonings. I adhere to and promote moral teachings of right from wrong, from the Bible.
