The Villainous Viper offers up a Metric Century (62.1 miles) in addition to the Full Century (100 miles).
The Asheville Breakfast Rotary Club presents the WNC 2011 Villainous Viper Century and Metric bike rides.

Both the Metric and Full Century rides start at the Asheville YMCA in beautiful downtown Asheville. The climbing sets in after only a few miles as riders ascend Town Mountain Road, a local favorite, to the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. A thrilling descent down Ox Creek Road is the reward for all the climbing, as riders make their way further along the rolling course throughout northern Buncombe county and the overwhelming beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Metric Century riders will enjoy a slightly different, yet no less challenging course as they break off and trace back in along the French Broad River. Century riders will go on to test their legs once more on the climb to Cravens Gap, descending Town Mountain Road into the heart of Asheville after nearly 10,000 feet of elevation gain!

Metric or Century, rain or shine, it promises to be an epic day in the saddle for the riders, and brings the promise of hope to disadvantaged children in Western North Carolina.
