What shall it be? Freedom under a Republic with individual economic prosperity under a free market - or state-controlled means of production under rule of the elite?

  • great videos, I would like to go through it again and replace some words though. Anytime it said "God", I would replace it with the word "Nature" and replace anytime it said "religion" with "morals". Morality may be necessary, but not religion and the "self-evident truths" our founding fathers thought were given to us by god, I would disagree and claim they were given to us by nature. Thus, the origin of natural law theory.

  • Who is the author of natural law? I mean, who established natural law (Nature)?

The work of our founding fathers is riddled with references to natual law, "God's nature" and so forth. But, they acknowledge an author of natural law, a supreme being who formulated that natural law from "behind" manifest creation.

  • "You cant have morality without God"...What a fucking joke. I don't believe in God and I know its wrong to kill and steal. Humans will never progress until religion is gone.

  • So, you are a good person because just for the heck of it? Or, is it because "good karma" is better than "bad karma".

If that's your answer, then who is it that made the law of karma?

The idea here is that you do the right thing because you are held accountable, correct? Ok, accountable to whom or what? Is it purely enlightened self interest? If so, that would imply that you ascribe to the idea that karma is a natural law.

    Whose natural law?

  • There are so many problems with this video, I couldn't begin to explain them here. But, one thing's for sure, the lack of source material is cause to ignore it.

  • The real problem is between your ears. Do you have a "substance abuse" problem? Is there a family history of mental illness in your past?

If you cannot comprehend the contents of this video, you are truly lost.

  • @ cidrosmith progressives in our schools under the control of the Department of education, teach that our founders were simply mean rich white men. They leave out our black founders, or how they began the process in being anti slavery. For example, rather than it saying Life, Liberty and Property, they said persuit of happiness, because they thought that word property could be used to hold onto slaves in the future. For more facts please look up all of David Barton's work.

  • @ Screbus I believe your describing Natural Rights which we simply have naturally at birth. Unlike Human Rights which are given by a government and dictates what these rights are. No you don't need God to be moral or ethical, and this is coming from me a Christian. As for such things as the 10 Commandments in courtrooms they're simply principals. You could if you wanted could call them Joe's 10 principals because that's what they are. Simply ethical and moral standards.

  • Our founding fathers also owned people that were forced to surrender everything to their righteous masters. The Romans were big slave owners too. Hmm.

  • You make the karma for yourself, and if you are not true to your own laws, you begin to fail. Whether religious or not.

This does not rule out, nor suggest the idea of a deity, it is the simple truth of the matter.

If one wants or needs to believe in a deity as part of one's life -- so be it. But the truth of the matter still stands.

  • Religion is simply a set of rules intended to help people live better. Extremists of one side or the other are not the norm, nor are they usually correct.

  • I'm not surprised at all of the religious furor here. It is caused by those few who want to seperate basically moral peoples so that they can win and enslave everyone.

And it's so easy to do with religion because almost all of them believe that "If you don't pray to OUR deity, you will go to He#*!"

Such blindly-opinionated people, otherwise moral though they may be, are easy pickings for the morally bankrupt, power-hungry opinion manipulators.

  • I am surprised by the anti religious comments on here. I do believe that is why this country and the constitution are falling apart. Like Franklin said....."only a virtuous people are capable of freedom"...Maybe that is why people are embracing the government as a master rather than a servant. There was no references to which religion was right or wrong. Just that we have morals and realize that there is a natural law.

  • This has been an intrestesing video, but I felt that even if it was informitive in some since, I had a hard time agreeing with many of its key point. 1. This video started by supporting "Americanism", the very idea of which seems to be vaugly, "the greatness of America," which to me seemed borderline prapgana. 2. This video made some powerful "claims", but these were vauge and one sided. finaly, 3. There was mention of morality loss, but no really examples to legetamize its un clear message.

  • That's great. I just don't agree that a God is necessary. I believe natural law comes from an objective morality. I believe that it is self-evident that all things are created equal by nature itself. Although, there is a degree of unequality if you think about animals that are more fit for survival than others. I fix this problem by saying that the only animals to really realize these self-evident moral truths are the ones that are intelligent and that can actually think about them.
