Burn For You, John Farnham (cover), TC-Helicon Harmony-G XT - 720p HD

I decided to have a go at singing this one as I've always thought it was a gorgeous tune. I fell in love with it after hearing John Farnham perform it (such an underrated Aussie vocalist in my opinion). There's no way my version even comes close to what John was able to do with it - but, I just tried to sing it with honesty and an open heart. Hopefully that comes through and does the story of the lyric and melody justice!

Also, you'll notice I'm using the brand new TC Helicon VoiceTone Harmony-G XT on this. As I don't play guitar, I made use of the feature which allows you to set a key/scale. This allowed me to sing to a backing track and created the harmonies on the fly based on the scale I chose.

Here's exactly how I set it up:-
Reverb = Hall
Harmonies = High & Higher / Had them mixed to just below half way
Tone = Preset 3 Set scale to C# minor (3rd variation)

The mic I was using was a Blue Encore 200.

Funny thing is this is a song that doesn't need the backing. Johnny Farhnam does it with one. You would have sounded better with a single voice as well I think but I know you are trying to show off the GXT. Your voice would have done the job on it's own.

I just bought mine waiting for it's arrival woot!! Hope my voice can bring the sparkle as well or it will sound like a box of strangled cats. Do you know anything about the pitch correction option i saw on the website?

I haven't used any on this recording, but often on the live stage there are times when I'm with a whole band and the foldback isn't ample!

maybe I am mistaken but it sounds like you have a chorus on the acustic guitar is it from the harmony g xt as well or from sepret effect. And your voice is awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!
