The production and installation of pre-stressed roadway slabs for VDOT's I-66 Highways for LIFE program by Smith-Midland Corporation.
The Highways for LIFE program is designed to promote building highways faster, safer, with better quality, at less cost, and with less work zone congestion. Highways for LIFE projects are also designed to make the projects last longer and are less costly to maintain. New building methods and materials can improve travel, save money and make our roads safer, said Federal Highway Administrator, J. Richard Capka.
