Auto-reverse AND Dolby? That would have been pretty good at the time, not that Dolby is useful in cars. Most, even from the nineties, have well enough wind noise to cover up the hiss on even a terribly dubbed tape with a poor signal to noise ratio. It'd only be needed on classical, where so many passages are very quiet; def. not for rock or pop music.
