AutIsm Brain SPECT Scan Part II

This video describes the use of various brain imaging techniques in autism- it gives an overview of what has been published in the field. The last video will present the outcomes of the imaging done on my son and I. Please tune your ears to the French accent. I am sorry if I make grammatical mistakes, especially with plurals, I did not type what I said, and I actually dislike to speak to a camera, I am better at talking to people, at least, Id like to think this is the case.

I finally got our neurologist to refer my son to a sleep study, I guess it's called a somnography...she was afraid he would pull off electrodes, but I think we can wrap his head...I hope this gives us a better idea about these new seizures he's having. How is your son doing?

@kgaccount I was not aware he was having new seizures, is that in your recent videos? I am glad you managed to get more investigations done, keep me posted. My son is doing a lot better, though 2 fits last night, but over all much improved in the last 2 weeks. I have restarted a lot more biomed and reduced his anti-epileptic by 1/3, we have a lot more communication, awareness and fewer fits, even with last night, noted across settings. Fingers crossed.

This is an excellent video. I just found it. Oh my gosh, you and I think a lot alike in many things regarding autism!! You are really bringing up great points. Nobody really talks about this, and I've thought about the same things for years. I think big problem are doctors having trouble testing kids like mine, as he requires deep sedation in order to be tested. I so wish better autistic friendly testing were here in USA

@kgaccount @kgaccount - Thanks for this, I had to watch the video again, which is rather painful (lol!). Have a look at the video Nb III which is more interesting I think. I still think that SPECT is very useful for individuals who are very affected, or have experienced regression. Locating epilepsy site is better done with EEG, though one cannot detect deeper foci easily with this (nor with SPECT).
