This episode relates the life of L. Frank Baum from the success of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" in 1900, to his death in 1919. The next episode will be devoted to how the Oz series was continued by Reilly & Lee.

The map is the original map. Unlike the oddly corrupted one that first appeared in the endpapers of "Tik-Tok of Oz," this has the Munchkins in the East, and the Winkies in the West.

this is a great series. I am reading the Oz series for the first time at the age of 52 if you can believe it. I think they are wonderful books.
