  • can't believe safin lost this, from highlights, he looked the superior player, but that's typical Safin, probably tons of brilliance and tons of inconsistency

  • look at how far they stand behind the base line 0.0

  • I agree that andy doesnt play like this consistently anymore, but I think that just like slowing down the courts affected federer's ability to dictate against certain opponents, it has affected Roddick and others too. I think as a reaction to that a lot of players have chosen the topspin route as a more effective means of pushing back their opponent to open up the court. Roddick is still playing good tennis but incredible groundstrokes have become commonplace among the top 50. The game changes.

  • some really hard fought baseline rallies!

  • @Stylaz21

hahaha, Sampras's biggest competition was a guy who spent his prime year on meth

the other guys are just old timers, Lendl and Mcenroe were at least 10 years his senior, Becker and Edberg were well past their prime. it's not really competition if they didnt peak at the same time period

so yeah, i totally agree with you. there are only so many slams a year. if more than 3 multiple slam winners are competing with more than 5 slams each. you know they arent even from the same era

  • Everyone saying Federer had no competition in his prime is a complete joke.

  • miss the forehand. it's really sad to see Andy totally unable to hit through the court now, even when going for winners.
