Sudan is marking three years since the signing of a peace deal that ended the 21-year conflict between the country's north and south.

But relations between the two remain fraught.

  • What an idiot the this Arab wannabie is. He's blaming British from sealing the South off from so the so-called Arabic culture and Islam. A typical ignorance.

  • and let africans be. Sudan is never going to progress if these north sudanese don't let go of the psychological chains of arab and european colonialism which has resulted in them hating their african selfs to the extent of which they actual believe that they can be arab if they just deny their african roots, resulting in them killing 100s of thousands of black africans. shameful , if only they knew how foolish they really are.

  • lol "trying to africanize the sudan"....uh Sudan is an africa, bud. thought i'd let you know that.

  • @galvanize22 It seems you also have some bigotry. Just because the North Sudanese don't have the same cultural customs as those in the south they are impostors? Just because they don't adhere to tribal customs of the Central African basin they 'hate their black selves?" There is plenty of blame to go around for sure, but your over-simplistic dismissal of North Sudanese ethnic authenticity is sophomoric and not established in fact or history.

  • @galvanize22 im from the north. i am african/arab. but we are not african by custom, but african by region. would you say egyptians are africans??. people in the north dont hate those from the south. the main issue is just that the country is too big for the gov't to keep an eye on. its difficult when there is so much poverty and faults in the system.at least our president got rid of the americans, and found the oil which they were trying hard for years to keep under their thumbs. bastards.

  • @tls2156 no they're not

  • @eldinkawi The British made it illegal to cross from north to south and south to north. They also based land rights and administration by race not ethnicity. Talk about ignorance hey? This stems from foreign influence trying to define Sudanese for their administrative purposes, dividing them so they could never rise against foreign rule as a united Sudanese people. Anthropology and world-systems theory rids people of their colonial ideals, I suggest you do the same.

  • this bull shit when a hafe arab hafe pure african baby comes out he or she for gets all about the pure african side, so for that we fight each other even if south fights north we are just killing each other so for that i want all of sudan to unite

  • the Arab nationalist blinded by the Fakhr are paying their arrogance and ignorance. who will be the next country to be dived ? Mauritania may be?, Bechir need to step down and leave the power , he failed to protect the integrity of the republic of sudan.

  • DId he just say that the Brits are tying to Africanize Sudan!!!!! last time i checked Sudan was smack in the middle of Africa with a majority of its population as black as any other African.
