thanks for replying back (: haha but i have decided that since I'm out of time even for myself I can't afford to look after someone else ): But now I know i'll get a guinea pig as soon as I'm out of college (:

Don't know whether you have decided yet but in my opinions guinea pigs are a lot easier to look after.
Chinchillas are nocturnal so sleep much of the day. Guinea pigs are easier to handle and not quite so destructive either :-)
That's my experience anyway, hope you'll find the perfect pet! :-)
