Cal Poly Business Students Help Low-Income Families File Taxes

Orfalea College of Business students spent hours helping low-income families prepare their taxes and claim additional income tax credits. With a grant from Pacific Capital Bancorp, the students expanded the program from the Cal Poly campus site to an additional site at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria. Over the course of this eight-week program, students applied advanced skills and gained valuable experience in a real-world setting.
