Fascinating documentary in which primates are observed to exhibit a plethora of social displays and emotions, ranging from non-reciprocated altruism (both inter- and intra-species) to gleeful deception, from reverential awe to brutal aggression, and from syntactic communication to basic empathy. Part of a series filmed for BBC4 called "Of Apes and Men".

  • @chickenassasintk they are chimpanzees, not monkeys.

  • @danpt2000 Global warming tells us that.

  • Automatic acceptance of the ideas of authority figures is a human flaw.

  • how stupid do you have to be to be jealous of a monkey

  • How can you look at chimpanzees and not anthropomorphize, or panmorphize humans?

  • working fine for me. Excellent doco!

  • the whole thing has been stuttery from me- but this one is just not working at all

  • Is this part not working for anyone else?
