If anyone could please answer, was he trying to say that even well done compositionally and technically drawn fruits and cow skulls are not allowed and will weaken your portfolio??

@Amarynthine You can do still life with anything. Pencil is one way. Ink another. Use your own blood. It really doesn't matter.
