Through out this recording you will hear a man screaming repeatedly, "NO, DON'T HURT ME!"

  • I am a nurse also and I believe how horrible TALA was for the people who lived with in it's walls. We have Pennhurst here where the abuse was so over the top it was shut down. I took care of four of the ladies from Pennhurst in a group home and all three of them had whip scars on their backs. In fact I have a mentally handicapped brother and the doctors wanted my mom to put him in Pennhurst. Thank God she didn't and he was raised at home with us where he was treated kindly.

  • That is quite bizzare... sure this isn't just an audio anomoly? do you hear anything like it over 30 mins of tape outside of the location? seriously, try to start isolating these things, they're very clear and distinct. if you can prove they're only happening in this place and aren't being caused by anything else you could have some very historical EVPs.

    are you going back?

  • @PyroChemicals I am hoping to go back there this summer. I recorded over eight hours of audio as I tape from minute I enter a location until I walk out. At TALA I obtained over 200 evps. So yes there is more than 30 minutes of recording and this is an isolated event on the C.I. unit. Thank-you for listening and the nice comment. I am lucky in the fact that everywhere I investigate, I come out with many evps.

  • yeap psychiatrist are bastards

  • @sun7port I am a nurse and you are quite right that mental hospitals can be very cruel and terrible places. I live near Pennhurst and I was a nurse when they closed it and I helped take care of 4 ladies removed from there in our group home. I saw wipe scars and knew how bad they had been treated. I agree with you 100%.

  • Very clear and very sad, good capture

  • My grandmother was a nursing student, in the 1940's, when she did a clinical rotation there. She dropped out of the program during the rotation. She said that was a horrific place. The level of patient abuse was unbelievable. These people were dumped there and forgotten about.

  • This is disturbing, but I find insane asylums to be very interesting, especially abandoned ones. Thanks for posting!

  • That poor man...

  • I can't seem to hear this one sadly... =/ Still thanks for posting! ^^
