Jigar Mehta, a University of California alumnus, is in Beijing capturing a behind-the-scenes look at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. In today's video feature, he talks to former Cal swimming star Natalie Coughlin, who won six medals in Beijing to set a record for most medals by a U.S. female in one Olympic Games.
------------------
Natalie Coughlin Interview: Well, the swimmers are finally out of the pool and hitting the Olympic party scene. Last night (Sunday) was the famous Speedo Party, which takes place the night of the last day of swimming. All the stars of the pool from Michael Phelps to Dara Torres came, as did Cal's very own six-time medalist in Beijing, Natalie Coughlin. With 11 Olympic medals, Natalie shares the honor with Matt Bondi as being Cal's most decorated Olympian.
Natalie looked cool and calm and ready to celebrate with the rest of the U.S. swim team in attendance. She'll be taking a little time off before setting her sites on London in 2012. Another 6 medals Natalie?
