My very first tutorial on getting started with markers, especially Copics. I discuss the different brands of alcohol markers, inking pens, effect pens, and paper. The second part of this tutorial focuses in on using Copics.

Part Two: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlThBQ7BAD8

Secondly, I do not have a lisp. This was filmed on a old digital camera with a poor sound microphone, so the S sounds do not come out clearly.

If you have any further questions, or would like to suggest things for me to demo in the future, please feel free to ask politely, and I will reply back to you as soon as I can. :)

I ask that you do not leave any rude or inconsiderate comments. Critique on the tutorial itself is fine, but it is important to be polite, well mannered, and poised in this ugly society.

  • okay sorry if I sound rude but I would love to see what you are wearing? is it just a shirt or a dress cause it looks really interesting.

  • @Stawiarz1234 It's a high-collared shirt with lace detailing. I added a pin too. :)

  • I worked with a Prismacolor for 14 years and it has still not run out, but after a day or two of getting a copic sketch marker, I had to fetch a refill.

  • @PandoraMcGuild

Sorry to hear about that. I have often hear the opposite from artists that I work and chat with. Not all things will work or perform like clockwork, but I (and others) have long battled with Prismas that dry out very quickly, even when stored well. What's more important is that artists choose the tool that is best suited to them.

  • omg! i love your shirt and hair! My dad says its a waste to keep collecting markers but i still love them!! ;)

  • @popcorn93599 Art is never a waste. If it brings you joy, it is not wrong! There are many other things that are truly wasteful - art is not one of them.

Whichever one I desire it to be.

  • I'm not a marker artist, or even a traditional artist (I'm 98% Digital artist), but I still found myself watching this entire video. It was interesting, informative, and well-spoken. :P

  • copic sp nibs are more harder than normal ones so it wont bend and break which is why i like sp more so 6 bucks for better conditions and refills or 2 bucks for fast breaking pens?
