There's nothing wrong with the Greek New Testament. The problem is that religious institutions have rewritten it to suit their needs over the last 2,000 years.

The Jewish race once divided their law into two groups: Justices (acts of kindness) and Jobs (religious rules). Jesus came along and declared that the Justices alone are the Law. (Mt. 7:12-14, 19:16-19, 25:31-46). He abolished all religious rules. Paul taught the same thing but his message has been rewritten in modern 'translations.'

@CarlBewley I appreciate your opinion. But I don't think anyone who teaches "love your neighbor as yourself" is all tosh. That's my opinion.

@PaulOnHomosexuality - Yeh but 'those words' were spread by a church who took land and wealth under a cross, burned women as Witches, and STILL persecutes homosexuality....I find most Christians to behave in the most unchristian manner towards fellow human beings......As soon as Christians adopt a 'live and let live' attitude (i.e practice what they preach) then I may just accept their right to believe in a cloud god....until then though..I deny it. Strongly. You Are Wrong.

@CarlBewley You say I'm wrong yet I agree with everything you wrote. I'm not defending institutions that hijacked Jesus' name and then did the very opposite of what he taught.

Jesus told people to throw out religious rules and regulations in order to focus on loving everyone as much as we love ourselves. The rest of his apostles taught the same thing... including the Apostle Paul. But Paul's words have been changed in the translations by the same institutions that reject Jesus.

@shanonjhall I can tell you, I am much more written by the hand of God than is than any bible, and that being the case, perhaps these words spoken to you from my heart will stir at least some desire to ask Him DIRECTLY to show you the truth of what He feels to towards homosexuals truly. Is it not arrogance for you to walk among His children and proclaim yourself to be His police force, his right hand on what His will is among us?

@shanonjhall I do not wish to judge or condemn you for the harm you must surely see you are doing, but I would ask you on behalf of all you judge to use the intellegence and discernment God gifted you with, as His child, even when looking at a thousands of year old book, one of many called "the word of God". If we are to give our children a world, as were we given such a gift, then we must simply put such willfully destructive behavior aside and focus instead on that which we have in common.

@shanonjhall -divine all day long, just as you were taught by another human to believe, but that doesnt make a lick of difference when you stand before God, filled with His perfect love and compassion, and see what your condemnation of his children, gay or black or white or Muslim or elderly or sick or poor or atheist etc.... has done in this gifted to you life, and are simply unable to deny the fact that it was easier to judge and feel safe than to have the courage to love without condition.
