*** This was recorded at Midikol Recording Studio in Jerusalem, much thanks to Record Producer/Owner Adi Hayat: adihayat79@gmail.com

So how did we meet? Well, this is a good one because I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Ofer MizraChi and Inbal Paz live in Modiin, Israel. But we will forever be a part of each other lives because of this wonderful story and how it all came to be.

For someone like myself who has not ventured further than one hour from her home for over 10 years visiting Modiin, Israel was obviously a huge step. But here is how it all came to be...

A couple months ago Israeli artist Ofer MizraChi visited Grand Rapids Michigan. He was there for ArtPrize, a worldwide art competition where he would show with his entry the "Near Jerusalem Project", beautiful photographs he has taken near Jerusalem for over 20 years. They are beautiful, relaxing and peaceful just like Ofer. Dean Martin and Roger Fleeger were Ofer's host family and allowed him to stay with them in their home for the 5 week ArtPrize competition.
And just by chance, although I don't believe in chance:-), an interview of mine had cancelled so I had a slot open up where an opportunity presented itself, where I could now interview Ofer.

After the interview, I said to Ofer, "You know, it's funny, I always wanted to visit Israel but that dream died years ago." Ofer quickly said, "Come, come be my guest I will show you the Dead Sea, Jerusalem and the Wailing Wall, the holiest place on earth." I didn't seriously consider that because I just don't go that far from home:-) Ofer began to walk away but then he turned and came back and said, "Kim, there is something very special about you. I would like to get to know you more before I go back to Israel, is that possible?" I said, "Yes, yes, sure, sure." But truthfully, being who I am, I wasn't really planning on taking him up on that offer.

A few days later he invited me to celebrate Yom Kippur and his goodbye dinner with him and his host family and 2 other couples. It was a joyeous night. Within a few days he was leaving and I saw him once again and I said, "Hey Ofer, remember when you said I could visit you as your guest in Israel?" Yes, yes, he said. I asked, "Were you serious or were you just being nice?" A big warm smile came over his face and he said, "Yes, yes it would warm my heart so if you would visit me and be my guest. This time I can be the host family!" I had to get a passport since I didn't ever think I would need one of those.

So here I am two months later visiting Ofer MizraChi in Modiin, Israel and having the time of my life.

I have never met warmer people. I have lived all over the USA and the warmth of the people here remind me of the warmth of the people in the south, like Tennessee, or North Carolina.

While researching Modiin I came across this singer Inbal Paz on youtube. I listened to her song Inside Out and just fell in love with her message. I also fell in love with her story and how her CD came to be. Sometimes, out of tragedy, one finds that they are stronger than they think.

It's like one of my sayings, "You were born to be a warrior, not a worrier. There is something very good about being pushed out of your comfort zone. You begin to realize you are made to be much stronger than you are acting. Starting today, Be Who God Made You To Be!"

Inbal Paz, lost both of her parents at a very young age and within a short period of time. He song Inside Out desribes part of her journey, and here is part of her story.....
