The road for President Mohammed Nasheed of the Maldives has never been easy. He is the nation's first democratically elected President and faced huge hurdles, including prison, to win office.
Nasheed says you can't negotiate with physics. He has three words for climate change deniers and those are three-five-oh. 350 parts per million is the level of carbon that we need to prevent climate change. He says the Maldives will be the first country in the world to be carbon neutral. He says if the Maldives can do it, larger countries can follow.
Nasheed pushed his audience to protest and put pressure on their governments for change.
Nasheed spoke to the Klima change forum in Copenhagen during the UN Climate Change Conference. Distributed by Tubemogul.
Yeah... we need many more people with his integrity in the whole world

Great speech from President of Maldives ,not many in the world can match,a challenge to the world to go for carbon neutral and countries like maldives need all the help the world can give financially and sustainable energy technology.Survival of maldives is the survival of planet earth since it is at the cutting edge of survival and sinking below the sea,an acid test to the world's determination to act to stop co2 rising above 350.

President Nasheed is a good man. 350 is the right target. Great talk.
Shame about the idiot troll comments from anonymous flat-earthers. I wish they'd add their name and address so my children can come and thank them for their 'sick contribution'

The climate change deniers and calamtists are right and left wing nuts that are distracting the legitimate debate of the effects of 600+ ppm of CO2 in the atmosphere by the year 2050. Cervens is your typical head-in-the-sand denier who obviously does not understand long term trends. This debate should also be about energy independence and national security, which should be something we all agree on.

Climate change does not mean uniform warming everywhere. Only someone with a poor understanding of the science does not recognize that. Record cold snaps are entirely possible (actually probable at first) without negating the fact that the entire planet is on average getting warmer.
I'm sick of delayer/deniers misinterpreting the science then claiming the science is wrong when all they are demonstrating is that they would flunk a basic science/math/statistics course.
